Must indeed be an efficient aco!!!!! dept - I paid off my loan in April and despite letters phone calls etc the IR is still taking money out of mypayslip!
Unbelievable. I think I'll ask for interest on the money when I finally get it, as someone further up this thread suggested.

Ah, but compound interest if you put the same money into a decent paying savings account would very much outweigh this, and you'd have lots of money already for your house deposit!0
