That's correct but if it was a WPA that got signed, the problem is proving the accompanying levy is invalid.
We really do need to know what exactly has been signed, and we need to see the fees, not just to see if they're excessive in general terms but also to see if levy and WPA are on the fee schedule, in which case the bailiff has done them.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -

Just a quick thought you could sign over everything you own to a partner or parent then when they come round refuse to let them in and state you own nothing at this address. They have no right to force entry without a warrant. If they do its criminal damage. Usually they try to gain access to asses the need for a warrant.0

That's only valid if the property hasn't been levied upon. Though I believe that is the case here.legaleagle1980 wrote: »They have no right to force entry without a warrant. If they do its criminal damage.
Wrong. Bailiffs collecting council tax have no right to force entry period, unless they've already been inside. "Warrants" (warrants for what, by the way?) have nothing to do with it.legaleagle1980 wrote: »Usually they try to gain access to asses the need for a warrant.
That's so wrong I don't know where to start. I'm simply going to pretend I never read it.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
hows it going? stay strong and don't be bullied.
i used to sit upstairs an awful lot with the doors locked and windows barred when the bailiffs were regular visitors at our place'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0 -
Hi, I am also in trouble. I have tried to call the 0906 number but no one is answering the phone. Does anyone know what time they open?
Bailiffs have told me they will be here at 11:00am to remove what they want. This has been going on for a while because of a dispute with the council. The bailiff's last visit was not nice and he told me that if I did not sign his walk in agreement he would take everything on the day. They have acted wrongly and I will see this all the way and I'm no longer in fear but I really need to speak to some one asap.0 -
Hi all, you probably don't remember me i posted this thread a while ago regarding problems i was having. Sorry i was late in responding i didnt have any internet for ages.
Basically, although i feel ashamed to say it, i ended up getting bullied and intimidated into paying the full amount to this guy. Who low and behold, once he had the money, became Mr Nice guy. I have felt terrible ever since but its 1 last thing to worry about i guess
I really really feel for anyone who gets involved with them. I'm just a really quiet person and i am getting so worked up with debt that i dont know what to do
Thanks everyone for your help though xxx0 -

By the way, do you still owe this balliff any money?? I'd really suggest that you get in touch with Herbie21...... She's my hero!:rolleyes:0
