A couple of people have advised using netgear for wireless access and recommended the DG834G. What is the difference between the DG834GUK ADSL modem firewall router and the DG834G Router which comes with an adaptor? I want to use a laptop remotely from the main pc.
Thanks

I've always bought my equipment from ebuyer.co.uk. On the listing page for the DG834G the manufacturer number is DG834GUK (I wasn't aware of that until I looked!) so the only thing I can think of is that the DG834GUK comes with a UK 240V power adapter.0

There are two versions of the Netgear DG834G wireless router.
Version 1 is larger, heavier, comes in a silver case and uses a 15VAC 1A power supply.
Version 2 is about half the weight and size, comes in a white case and uses a 12VDC 1A power supply.
Data sheets are available for both from the website and both are being sold at various places. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
