ditto but as they say you only hear the bad reports.

same with ebuyer, never had a problem, been using them for years BUT you hit a problem once and then you find out how bad they are
  • Well as they say, you only hear about the bad reviews never the good.

I bought from them twice and the second time was the last. It took me three months and intervention from Trading Standards to get a refund on an item which was misdescribed on their website. DABS' attitude to post-sales service stinks.

Go and Google 'DABS customer service'.

In interest of balance, have bought from them 15-20 times trouble free.

Yeah but have you ever had any actual problems? I have bought from them loads and had no problems so good customer service for me. I have bought from ebuyer once and had loads of problems with stuff missing, damaged etc and their customer service sucked big time. So never again - but that's misleading.

It's not whether they can send you the stuff, it's whether they'll look after you when there are problems. From what I hear dabs and ebuyer, aria and scan are all the same - too busy to deal with problems.

You don't know if you have a fire extinguisher until you have a fire.
  • I've bought from Dabs.com about 8 times. Once got an external CD burner which arrived damaged. Contacted them by email and within about three days had a replacement...

    However!

I'm pretty sure that they billed me for the replacement, and then refunded for the original purchase only when they had received it back to them (a couple of days later).

Not sure what to make of that in relation to customer services. I suppose most companies would ask that you send the broken one back first and then they will send a replacement, so Dabs' way is quicker but means that your money is tied up until you get a refund.

This happened about 2-3 years ago so don't know if their practices are still the same
