do i have a "was'nt the driver case"

new to this so please accept my apologies for any mistakes with posting rules (let me know, wont be offended)!!!
i recently used a car park and genuinely did not see the £80 charge notices (private company) for staying over 3 hours until i returned over 3 hours later. they were however everywhere and not hidden, i was just in another world when parking up!
realising i overstayed i got somebody i was with to drive out, thus, i thought, maybe giving me an argument i was'nt the driver, as the person who overstayed was not me.
so in short, I parked the car but someone else drove out.
do i have a case?

    Read the signs next time.;)
Nature wants the human race to survive. However, it does not depend on us because we are not its only invention.

Read all of the other private parking threads on here, then file away the ticket and get on with your life. Forget all the who was/wasn't driving stuff. It doesn't matter.

Yup, keep it as evidence just in case - Private firms almost always cross the line with their threats. :)
