thankx again, the £x she received was sent to her from my partners solicitor on completion of his sale, so thankfully we have proof there and I have all details regarding my finances for our joint property.

partner been to sol, she says that the wording in the sols letter referring to no financial contribution would be for the divorce itself, nothing to do with the financial settlement, she advised him that she will write to the sol saying that he will agree to the divorce only if her client agrees as in her letter that my partner does not pay the costs. then the divorce can go ahead, then a couple of months after it is absolute she will then apply for financial settlement, after my partner gave her some figures ie equity in our joint property and his pension and bearing in mind she has a pension, although we don't know the amount, and is received £40k + inheritance and the fact it was only a short marriage and that she recived what his solicitor thinks was a generous pay off from his property that it would not be worth her persuing for financial contributions, as well as the fact she is now working full time and supporting herself in a rented property, she is in fact in a better position now then when she married my partner. as for the mainenance she said a judge would not even consider it. the prayer list on her divorce petition is generic, so she said not to worry about whats on that. phew hope that makes sense,
