Hex - I don't know about the PO but I pay mine straight into my bank account (TSB) without any problems. They only have to put them on the scales - it's hardly rocket science!

The main thing is that the coin is separated into individual denominations, that way we can weigh part bags as well ;) I do believe the PO has a limit but the bank will take whatever you have. Some shops will be pleased to have the change as they are charged by the bank for any coin they ask for.

I've just spent my HHC in the kitchen and it still isn't done! At the moment I've got my chest freezer and my fridge in the middle of the kitchen while I clean behind them. I've also sorted the top of the fridge out which had stuff dated 2008 on it!

I just wanted to thank kind people for friendly messages...I'm currently 'enjoying' a giant Black Dog sitting on my shoulder and doing anything at all seems like far too much trouble, tho I am having treatment so am hoping it'll go away soon. In the meantime I shall lurk here and perhaps all your energy and cheerfulness will help - you do sound like a very nice bunch of people and there aren't so many of those around. I did buy some filing trays yesterday and am planning to start some long-overdue filing today. Also I cleared out the accumulation of about 10 years junk from big bathroom cupboards and yesterday bought some plastic trays which I'm going to organise the small quantity of remaining good stuff into this pm. It's not much but it's a small step forward.
    Thank you.......:T

    Hi,

I wasn't sure where to post this but this thread seems appropriate. There is a site called deCuisine.co.uk which sells kitchen/household goods. Carries a vast range at very competitive prices and has a very professional web-site in design and feel. I ordered from them. Big mistake.

My payment was taken instantly from my bank a/c. Despatch was promised next working day using Royal Mail 1st class.

Cut a long story short the item never arrived. Contact phone no. is either permanently engaged, answerphone which tells you no-one available or just rings and is never answered. Emails are not responded to.

If you ever come across this site and are tempted to purchase from them I recommend you save yourself some potential grief and go elsewhere.

    This is their site: http://www.decuisine.co.uk/

and here are some other customers experiences of this company:

    http://www.qype.co.uk/place/96880-Decuisine-co-uk-London

    http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.decuisine.co.uk

Please pass this on to others. It could save you money, which is what this site is about.

    Thanks.

Orkney- hope your back gets better quickly. Take care
Thanks, some days are worse than others. The strong painkillers Dr gave me do nothing for the pain, but they make me tired so not taken any. The thing is I have been better at doingthe physio exercises recently and yet it seems to be getting worse.
It really needs to behave for holidays , especially as I will be doing most of the driving!
Anyway, managed to take DS to park, and also saw daddy (he works near home) and so had a walk round the field with him as he marked the pitches).

I'm new to the thread too- it is full of lovely people!
Sorry to hear you are struggling with the 'black dog' but glad to hear you are getting treatment. It sounds like you've made a great start to getting sorted at home. A little bit every day seems just the ticket. Well done on everything you've achieved so far :T
I went on a great course for dealing with long term illnesses. One of the key ideas is action planning and works well with the MACAW challenge on this thread.
    To action plan
    1. Decide what you are going to do
    2. Decide how much you are going to do
    3. Decide when you are going to do it (time of day)
    4. Decide how many days a week you are going to do it.
    5. Give yourself a mark out of ten to show how certain you are that you can achieve this.
    6. If you are less than 8/10 certain then adjust your plan until you reach at least 8/10 (sometimes feedback from others can help with this)
    7. Write all this down and then note each day whether or not you completed the action (with comments)

    Example....completely fictional!
This week I will organise my paperwork (what)
for an hour each day (how much)
when I first get up (when)
six times this week (how many days)
    Certainty 6/10

Adjustment- find mornings harder to motivate myself so change to after work. Probably won't manage 6 days but if I do 4 I can have a day off in between days on.

This week I will organise my paperwork (what)
for an hour each day (how much)
    after work (when)
four times this week (how many days)
    Certainty 6/10

    M Done
    T Too tired after work
W Went out so only did 30mins
Th Went out so only did 30mins
    F Break
Sa Did 2 hours as really got into it!
Su Another mammoth 2 hour session

When I reviewed at the end of the week my comments might make me decide to change strategy next week e.g. do little and often as difficult to get it done when a work day or do longer but only on Saturday and Sunday.

I found this really helpful for lots of things- changing eating habits, exercise, relaxation etc.
Hope it is helpful to others
