My vista laptop seems to be running v v slow. the typing has to catch up with me. I have run mwb etc and nothing has been found, no viruses etc but I could do with someone just looking at this Hijack this log to see if there is anything on there that needs removing.

Thanks in advance.

c:\program files\Bigfix\bigfix.exe ~ this is running at startup and its a known resource hog
    Turn it off

I very much doubt you 'need' the 'B&Q bathroom' planner software either!

    Download CCLEANER
    http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds/downloading-slim
Run the CLEANER scan (UNTICK 'cookies')
Then run the REGISTRY scan (Backup the registry when it asks)

Download DEFRAGGLER and defrag your drive with it

Done that thak and the defragger this and it does seem to be a bit better. I have also updated to IE8, so fingers crossed.

    Thank you.

    x
Now fixed it but whilst looking at the log thing, out of curiosity what is the "network magic" line which is also numbered 016?

    c:\program files\Bigfix\bigfix.exe

'network magic' - I assumed youd done some sort of an online antivirus scan. But now it seems its dodgy ~ FIX it

    Please run COMBOFIX

Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be)

If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download
