Zanussi zen2925 fridge freezer not cooling

Hi...we bought a second hand fridge freezer which the previous owner said was in full working order but was in storage so we did not see it working.
When we brought it home we left it switched off for 24 hours. When it's switched it makes all the noises and light comes on etc but the fridge and the freezer does not cool. The temperature setting is set to max even tried it at lower setting.
So we switched it off and left it standing for a week in case it needed to 'settle' down.
We have switched it on again but still same problem. When it's switched on it makes the right noises but does not cool.
Anyone what the problem could be? Thanks
