Co-op Bank - Smart Saver Card

Got a cashpoint card for this account through the post yesterday. In my name, valid from 07/09. Thing is, I don't remember opening an account with them.
Is it to replace my Britannia BS Manchester United Savings Account? A bit premature if it is, because the merger doesn't happen til 1 August officially. And if it is, shouldn't they have told me?
Anyone else been sent one, unsolicited?

Have you a Co-op bond that has matured? If so, are you sure that the account was closed and not just reduced to a zero balance?
Under the Ts&Cs of the bond I had it became a Smart Saver account on maturity. I took all the money out but then discovered that (despite my instructions) they had left the account open in case I wished to use it as an instant access account. Given the low interest rate I did not. I didn't receive a card though.0
