?problem with new shower?

I recently had the bathroom redone, and have a mira element thermostatic mixer shower which is great, but for one thing....
The bit which attaches it to the riser rail, seems like it might be too loose. Its not an issue usually, but if you turn the shower on or off very quickly-the increased water pressure with cold water makes the shower head swivel up and it SOAKS the bathroom-the shower is overbath and the loo is at the end of the bath so it, the floor, and the far wall (3m away ) get drenched....
Is there any way to tighten this up? Or do we have to remember to turn off slowly forever? I'm usually OK but mornings are not my friend.....

Thanks, I don't think its actually the shower hose itself, it doesn't seem kinked, its more like when the big increase in pressure goes through it, it pushes against the wall and makes the shower head handle move up, so it sprays everywhere. The bit the handle sits in seems to turn quite easily-it stays put once it's there, but not when the water pressure suddenly shoots up. its ok if I turn shower on and off slowly, but sometimes my sleep addled brain forgets!

    Layer 8 Issue

Suggest you tighten up the friction lock.

    Cheers

Depends which fittings kit (riser rail and shower head) was supplied with your "element".

Have a look here clicky to decide and then from here clicky follow the link via support to installation and user guides from where you can download / read the pdf appropriate to your piece of kit.

    Cheers

Thanks, will check that out now. The "element" is the type of shower, here sorry if it seemed less precise... The fixings kit is discovery, but I can't see instructions on how to tighten the clamp

I tightened the screw in the clamp and that seems to have tightened the clamp so it seems harder to turn..... Hopefully that will save the soakings!
    Thanks all.....
