Hello,
I have my Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo credit card with full direct debit set up, to take my funds from my Lloyds TSB current account. This has been going on for years (D/D date always shown on statement, current account always have enough balance).
A few days ago, came my due date. Surprisingly no funds left my current account. Called Lloyds TSB, who said they will take the funds the next day, I don't have to worry - everything is okay.
The next day, I saw on my credit card "Direct Debit - Thank You" for the full amount. Again, no funds left my current account (but surprisingly credit card was credited).
Called LTSB again - the current account put me on hold to talk to the Card Services people, the Card Services people was adamant that the payment is completely okay and nothing is wrong, the Current Account agent just told me maybe their systems (current accounts) aren't updating, maybe the money has really left my account just that it isn't showing up. 2 days have passed and again nothing is changing.
I must say I'm quite intrigued over this incident. Firstly, concerned the Direct Debit will be reversed (of course I will have no liability here, as I've done nothing wrong - just do not enjoy any subsequent hassles I may have); secondly, quite intrigued about the whole thing - surely the bank's books have to balance up, one debit must be matched with one credit?
What do you think is happening here?

Did you asked your current account provider if there were some pending transactions on your account? it happened to me once where no one new where the money was... it will be probably debited from your account at some point but just make sure you have the funds available0
