France for 2

My mum and a friend want to holiday in France this summer

I am helping her look but I am finding it difficult to find anything that caters for 2 and reasonable in price.

They would like to keep to northern France and near if possible to beaches. Does anyone know of any good websites or brochures I can look at .

Avoid August as prices go up terrifically as the whole of france seem to take holidays then (this might be why you are having problems finding a decent price) - if they can, it would be best going in early September when weather still good.

Depends on the type of holiday they want - we went last year with siblu (was haven europe) and paid about £600 from memory for a nice park in britany in late june for 10 nights. We stayed in a static, but to be honest it was quite nice, and had loads of furniture outside and a BBQ. Price included 10 nights acomodation, and ferry from plymouth to roscoff for 2 adults and 2 kids

What about Dinard/St Malo (Northern Brittany) Ryanair fly there from London Stansted and East Midlands.
If they could go Sat 1st of July till 8th then flights from stansted would only be £36 inc taxes each. similar deals from East Midlands (diff dates)
Hotels come in from around £150pp for a week
Info on Dinard/St Malo is at

Or theycould fly Luton to Brest with ryanair 4 July to 11th £52 pp inc taxes.
They could save on hotels as these start at just over £110pp for the week.

If they are prepared to consider a mobile home on a campsite, have a look at http://www.leisuredirection.co.uk/

We've used them a number of times, and they've always been good value.

we are based a part of the year in the south west of france but i know france pretty well though have not been to brittany in years. mum did say (she is an avid walker mind you) that one of the best walks she did was in brittany. but i must say it is known to rain quite a lot !
otherwise we had a weekend away once just outside Dunkerque in campanile i believe and we had a great time as we went to a local little village by the coast and had a great walk on coast. also you are not far from Bruges in Belgium which is beautiful (about 1 hour's drive) but i prefer this in december.
we rented a mobile home for 3 days in Arcachon on the coast which only cost us £75 for up to 5 people . loads to do and visit and you can probably get cheap flights into bordeaux. however this is the south of france so maybe too far for your purpose.

hope this helps anyway. you can always pm me if you need extra help.
