Parking ticket query

Someone I know received a parking ticket from Parking Eye today. They parked at a Pizza Hut car park and parked for 90 minutes.

They called Pizza Hut to ascertain why their restaurant has a 20 minute car park. Apparently you are meant to input your registration into a computer screen at the desk in Pizza Hut. No-one told them this so they didn't do it. Pizza hut person today advised them to call Pizza Hut manager on Monday who will void the ticket.

Question for you all - should they actually bother to do this or just leave it. They are happy to write to either Pizza Hut or Parking Eye but does this just encourage them more?

Just ignore them both. There is no appeals procedure so it will just be a waste of time and will only confirm they have hooked a live fish and will just pester you more. Don't post pics here or anywhere else just for safety. Bear in mind the RK will get a few bits of paper from the PPC culminating in empty threats which include "we may do this" and "could do that"
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
