Help please? Trying to support son's application for student grant

Options
Hi

Our eldest son is starting Yr2 at univ, we are trying to support his application for a loan. His brother is starting at sixth form college and may be eligible for EMA but we do not know if he will get it yet.

On the support for application for a loan, we have to declare the second son is in further education and whether or not he will get financial assistance. Does anyone know if EMA counts, and how/when do we declare it as we do know yet if he will be eligible?

Many thanks for any help you are able to give
Jays

Well, how exactly can you not know if he's eligible for EMA or not? Do you not know what your income is? I'd suggest giving the student loans people a call to ask, or wait for someone a little more knowledgeable than me here.

EMA doesn't come into it, but list him on the application form.
