Quick Question re: Item not Received

Hello All,
I've got a quick question about an item that I have not received, the story so is:
I bought and paid for an item on the 25.6.09 for £100. The item never appeared. I have been in communication with the seller and she was very helpful, until I asked her to refund after 3 weeks and then it stopped. I have opened a dispute, but wondered: If she de-registered from ebay and paypal would I still be able to obtain my refund?
She's fairly new to ebay and she may think it's not worth the hassle.
Thank you!

She wouldn't be able to remove herself while there are outstanding issues. Immediately escalate the dispute to a claim if she still hasn't replied to you.:j30/7/10:j

As this was an ebay item you are fully covered against an item not received regardless of whether seller has closed their account or not. The only way the seller can defend the claim is to prove using online tracking that your eceived the item.
Juat make sure the dispute you have opened is a full chargeback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks All! Is a full chargeback different from an item not received dispute? It's givem me the option to escalate to a claim after the 2.8.09. Which I intend to do. She has been in contact this morning and refuses to refund until "she concludes her investigations with the post office that could take another 3 weeks", but she sent the package by 1st class post so I'm not sure how they'll trace it or why she expects me to wait that long!0

It sounds like you don't have a full chargeback in , escalate it now to a full chargeback, if the options aren't obvious come back and ask again.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks Soolin, can you explain to me how I can escalte this to a full charge back please? Do I go in and do the end communication with seller and escalate to a claim bit? Thanks0

if she only sent by first class she'll not be able to track it online, plus she'll only get £39 compensation from RMUndergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0

She won't be happy with that, but that might be why she's trying so hard to find the item.0

I think that's it, it's been months since i had to do it so check everything before you tick to continue as you don't want to cancel anything and lose your buyer protection. Basically you are looking for the option to escalate to a chargeback or claim.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have done that, thanks Soolin. I should have an outcome on 22.7.09, which is a bit more like it!0

Good, can I suggest that you log into paypal every day and just check the status, they can sometimes be lax in sending important emails out and you don't want to miss anything.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
