We booked a holiday before we planned on getting married and as its cost us quite a lot of money we are using it as a pre - wedding honeymoon to the dominican in September.
After the wedding we are going to spend a week in Cornwall via the Sun £9.50!! we're taking our children with us, then towards the end of the year if finances allow we'll book a honeymoon/family holiday as I couldn't go abroad and leave my young children behind.0 -
Sri Lanka in three weeks- can't wait!0

Hawaii! Not until December next year, and we haven't booked yet. Looking at Virgin Holidays, but it'll run us 5k for two weeks, so shopping around first..Swagbucks Amazon gift vouchers 2014 125/250

Quite likely nowhere - my passport's expired, can't afford to get another done and then re-done when I change name so trying to hang fire replacing it till after the wedding. Plus - we're skint and don't want to ask people for cash for the honeymoon for our wedding present so we can't afford even a city break in the UK at present.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

dizziblonde I am in the same position - my MOH is organising the hen night in dublin, so I will have to get a new passport for then, but decided to leave it in maiden name until it needs renewing again rather than oay for name change - after all, it's just a name on a piece of card, displaying our commitment is what really counts
ladypink congrats!
We are going to Hong Kong and Thailand, going to book it through Trailfinders in September/October time, will set up honeymoon list if anyone wants to gift us, and we plan on staying in beach huts to keep the cost down a little!I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

My daughter is getting married in Gibraltar next year (August), we've booked an Apartment in the Costa del Sol for the wedding and got a deal on the entire 6 week school hols so once we've gone they've got nearly a month to themselves. They're planning a more 'exotic' belated honeymoon probably around Christmas time.0

As the three children are on a summer camp from the 26th July we are going to use this as our honeymoon time alone then the week after we are married we are hiring a large cottage for a week away with the children and OH'S parents as they have not had a holiday this year due to finances and FIL having a knee replacement.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

We originally planned to go to Australia as its somewhere Ive always wanted to go (H2B went 2 years ago). But we decided if we are going to do it, we are going to do it as a dream trip with 4* hotels etc. BUT this was going to cost about 10k including spending money, which could buy us a house in the nicer area of our city and would even have a 3rd bedroom (oooh).
So we're gonna keep our savings to buy a nicer house, and go on a cheaper honeymoon.
So we're looking at 10 days in New York! Flights are pretty cheap (even if we upgrade to premium economy), and we can get a nice 4* hotel for about £2000 which were happy withGreen and White Barmy Army!0
