Car Boots in Newcastle?

I'm planning to go to the Monkseaton/Whitley Bay carboot tomorrow morning, can anyone say if it's good, how many traders to real sellers there is etc? Or if anyone can recommend any others in the Newcastle area instead? I don't drive so it would have to be within fairly easy walking distance of a metro station. Thanks!

There's one in Ashington, but I've never been so I can't give you any clue about dealers or where the nearest Metro is. Maybe google might give you a bit more info

My favourite is at Hexham, but if you don't drive it would be really awkward to get to!:j30/7/10:j

There is no Metro anywhere near Ashington.
The one in Whitley Bay was okay the last time I was there but that was a while back.
There is a market/antique/junk/carboot every Sunday in the actual Metro Station in Tynemouth which is not far from Whitley. There are quite a few booters taking a stall there as it is covered in. Perhaps worth a look but the majority are traders.
I like the one at Blaydon Rugby Ground but I don't know about a Metro station being near but there is a bus stop right outside the ground. That one gets loads of sellers and buyers as well as traders, at least it used to but it was Easter time when I was last there.0 -
The Whitley Bay one wasn't on, so I ended up going to the Tynemouth Metro station one and thought it was dead good, going to see if I can get myself a stall set up either next week or the week after. There was quite a lot of traders but quite a lot of car boot type stalls as well, a nice mixture, with lots of people.
