Lloyds TSB help please.

Hi folks

For anyone who has online banking with Lloyds TSB have you had any problems with checking your statements online?

We have a new account elsewhere but have gone token payments for now with Lloyds TSB, and have been informed they will not freeze charges etc on the latest letter from them, so they continue to take out the £25.00 account charge as well every month.

But the furthest we can go in checking the online statements is that of 16 June 2009.

It is stating there is an error and no further statements are available, but to otherwise contact the branch for them.
But I have a strange feeling on this, if they can provide from 16 June to now then why not earlier statements?
I don't recall in this ever happening before.

Cheers.

Hi, I have just checked my account for you.

I went back as far as April '08 (There were other statements available, I just didn't bother going back any further). But that doesn't mean to say that other people might not be having similar problems, maybe it is a regional thing?

If this is going to play on your mind over the weekend, it might be worth giving Lloyds Phoneline a ring on 0845 3000 000, open 24/7.

  • Di, that sounds like an unplanned overdraft(I think that is their terminology) and is reclaimable :D

Hi and thank you for checking this for me.;)

Lucky I do have paper statements as well more worried as they still charge us full use of the account and yet they have practically cut back on us using the online banking system.

I may just be paranoid though lol, and like you said it could be a regional thing, we live in South Wales.

Thank you once again much appreciated indeed.

I am also experiencing this problem. Earlier on this morning I was searching for a cheque on my online statements and was able to go back to April. When I looked again about half an hour later, it annoyingly would only let me go back to June 22nd.

    Hi there

    Thanks for posting up.;)
Hmm maybe its a technical fault.

I thought for a minute that they were making a start to close me down, as being a pain in the backside of a customer and going token payments...., don't think I will be that lucky though, not with an overdraft to pay off on the account.

I will keep checking the account online though, in case its a tech error.;)

What sort of an account do you have with them ?

Is it the basic Classic account which is free of charge or do you have an account with a monthly fee ? (the Premier account is £25 a month)

If so, they would continue to charge the £25 a month until you downgraded the account.

    Just a thought.

    Hi there

Yes we do have that account you said.;)

We do get charged £25 a month for that one, and we also had another charge of that amount of £25.00 for a personal loan account, never been charged for this before in all these years.
This charge is a new one on us.

    Thanks for posting up.;)
