i take it no-one has had the braun shaver from nuts then? i cancelled my sub to the awful dirtylittle magazine by cancelling the DD. no sign of the braun shaver and i had received a few nuts mags already so the gift should according to the offer be coming within 28 days which have now passed...

Thank you for your email regarding your subscription to Nuts magazine.

We have been in touch with the publishers, and they have advised us that offer states that if you if you cancel the subscription within the first twelve months that we reserve the right to ask for the return of the gift if unused or the equivalent value which in this case is £28.00.

As unfortunately as no payment was collected from you and four issues were mailed to you we are not obliged to send a free gift to you.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

What a load of B-@'@ks, it really annoys me how these companies get away with not sending out the subscription offers and then quoting the above, after the 3 issues, although it is supposed to be sent at the beginning !!!!!!!!
I wonder if any other publishers do this as well????

THe acknowledgment letter informed me I would receive the first free issue in November and be charged for the 6 issues at the beginning of that month, which is not in keeping with what they state in their offer.
On top of that, I have just received my "free gift", which instead of the TIGI conditioner I was expecting was an assortment of Cussons shower gels I am not interested in at all. How can these people conduct themselves with such impunity??? I would like to complain to the relevant watchdog (supposing there is one) but also wanted to warn other people....[/QUOTE]

On 27 I received the following message, after I complained: "Upon looking at our records we have found that as the Tigi Bed Head Self Absorbed Conditioner & Tigi Bed Head Self Absorbed Shampoo are out of stock that the Imperial Leather shower gels were automatically sent out as an alternative gift.

However if you are still unhappy with your gift , please send it back and we will then be able to extend your subscription as compensation for you."

I am not interested in their magazine or the gels, so I told them that. I am still waiting for an answer.... it makes me really angry that you waste your time for a promise that never materializes....

Hello all, I'm new to this magazine lark so could do with some advice.My first one was Ideal Home with quidco ( magazine group) was 3 issues for £1. I've only received one issue so far and my next DD is due out on 7th October.When should I cancel, any suggestions?
After reading the offers I've now signed up to Easy Living 3 for £1 plus a free gift.I think I'm going to enjoy doing this as I love magazines anyway, but my question is do I have to cancel with the company, or shall I just cancel my direct debit before the 3 months is up? Do you get any hassle from the companies if you just do it that way?

Grateful for any advice, and happy mag reading!

I got the shaver a few days ago. Its a great piece of kit.
