I got the Molton Brown cleanser and lip boost on Saturday, first freebie I've had from a magazine in ages. I've cancelled so many :o

The cleanser is lovely but the lip boost is just like vaseline in a posh tube!

Can anybody help. I've done a few searches, and can find comments about Simply Knitting, but can anyone point me to any deals on a sub to this title. I really like it, but it's so expensive! Thanks guys.

I was looking at this earlier. Best I have seen so far is £35 for a year, plus £4.80 cashback if you go through Quidco to The Magazine Group

Thanks, hmm, being a bit greedy, but was hoping for a bit of a better deal than that!

Anyone else have any special offers for Simply Knitting?

    Hi,

Just wanted to warn anyone that subsribed to this offer to check their confirmation letter carefully http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=2025136&postcount=25

i received my confirmation letter from them today and while checking through it i noticed this : we will take your first DD for £1 on the 11th May, we will then take £11.99 on the 12th May  which gives me 1 day to cancel my DD before they take the 2nd DD, not even sure if it's possible to cancel a DD and ensure payment is not taken at such short notice, I always thought you had to give 3 days notice when cancelling a DD, can anyone clarify this

I think you are right that it takes 3 days to cancel a direct debit. I think this is a very unfair offer and I would contact the magazine publishers and tell them that the offer was misleading and that all you wanted to do was "try" the magazine to see if you liked it and that you didn't expect to get tied into a further subscription. You never know they may cancel this for you!
