Financial Support When Repeating Year

I am hoping to repeat the first year of my degree after problems last year. It seems to be all going through ok on the uni side but they don't seem to be able to tell me much about student finance.
I'm planning to call the student finance people but thought I would ask here to see if anyone has experience with what happens when you repeat a year.
I received tuition fee loans as well as student loans and maintenance grant for last year. I also already applied for my second year finance but have since decided to repeat the first year.
What I'm wondering is if I will actually be able to get the same financial help, as I wouldn't be able to continue otherwise.
Thanks.

If this is your first time at university you will get full funding for this year, and the 2nd and 3rd year.
If you should do the same and repeat another year you will not recieve tuition fee loan for that year.
If your course length is 3 years. You can get a maximum of 4 years. You have taken 1 (last year), so you have 3 left.0 -
Thanks for your reply
So I'm more or less sure to receive full funding for this year?

You do not automatically qualify for funding to repeat a year of study, even though you have funding available. You may be turned down by SFE to start with, in which case you should contact your student advice centre for help in appealing.0

Shouldn't be turned down immediately unless the previous study comes into it.0
