Link not working. What sort of magazine is this please?

Looks like it's just another 'celebrity' based mag for our celebrity obssessed culture: http://www.mad.co.uk/Main/Comments/Articles/e0c1dd7470c24f72b9df1b03633a44e7/Analysis-Look-magazine.html

I think you are wrong there because normally trials that can be cancelled will say something like this:

"I have completed the Direct Debit instruction below in the understanding that I can cancel my subscription within 2 weeks of receiving my 3rd issue and no further money will be taken from my account. The first 3 issues will be mine to keep whatever I decide."

But those that require obligation will state that you have to keep a minimum 12months subscription and the offer is only for the first 3 issues being £1.

"Direct Debit purchases have to be bought individually and minimum subscription term is 12 months."

Look at the words highlighted in bold above or do you have a different interpretation for it?

This is on their 'how do I cancel my subscription'

How do I cancel my subscription?

Minimum subscription term is 12 months. If at any time during the first 60 days you are dissatisfied in any way please notify us in writing and we will refund you for all unmailed issues. Please supply your full name, address, subscription number (if you know it) and magazine name. Write to: Future Publishing, Unit 4, Lathkill Street, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, LE16 9EF.

Therforeif you are not satisfied with the ''trial'' magazines surely you can just let them know that you dont want to continue.

It is a bit misleading though. Offering a minimum 12 mnth trial

My cheque arrived today. The only thing is I rejected the dd the day it was presented as it was not for a £1. There was no explanation with the cheque.

Same happened here - I rejected the DD, and rang them to cancel the sub the same day (that was a fun experience  ) - then a couple of weeks ago a Pshychologies magazine dropped through the door, and this week a check for £13.50. I'm just going to stick it all back in the post - really don't want to start all over again

To be honest, if I had realised that it was Hachette operating the sub (went through a referral link that didn't make it clear until it was too late), I wouldn't have touched them with a barge pole as it's not the first time they have pulled tricks like this.

About 2 years back, I signed up to their Horrible Science collection - they took the money (annual sub) and neglected to send the majority of the magazines. Claimed they couldn't refund a subscription once it had been paid, so I was stuck. Then a year after finally being able to cancel the DD and sub, a box arrives out of the blue full of back issues and a letter saying they will collect payment by DD :rotfl:

Same here. This offer is printed in the latest issue of Marie Claire, which isn't available in the shops yet. I guess the offer is 'too' new, and this may be the reason the link isn't working. I'll try again in the next couple of days. ;)

I just changed the zero in the last bit to an O, and it worked. HTH.

Edit: still can't get it to work, though - anyone else had any joy?
