Also worth noting that Great Magazines are clamping down on the number of subs taken out and limiting gifts to one per annual subscription period. Received one such letter today

which one did you go for?

Trial Offer is 6 Issues for £1.00
Subscription is 3 monthly direct debit at £9.99

Please let us know how you get on!!

The £1 offer. The confirmation email said £1 but the one that came in the post said £9.99! When I called them they said they its nothing to do with them as I ordered thru a third party site and they could not find the internet code for the offer.... .....Helloooo 'Now' people?! How can you not know such things lol. I cancelled the sub and my DD and re-ordered. The same email confirming the £1 came thru again and I'm waiting for the one in the mail

I did this one a few weeks back and cancelled after issue 2 and just before issue 3. However, fantastically, they not only sent me issues 3 and 4 but also the Xmas mega issue! :T

6 Months Direct Debit + FREE Shiseido Gift Set @ £12.95 - that's the option I chose. The Shiseido stuff is great - I've had it before - relaly nice stuff and a little goes a long way. The mag however is !!!!!! and full of ads

id like to get IDEAL HOME magazine as an xmas pressie but the best deal i can find is 6 months direct debit for £11.99

i dont want to spend anymore than that but i thought i might be able to get the 6 months worth for cheaper or a 3 issues for £1 type thing... any ideas?

plus - im worried about the 'direct debit' bit of the 6 month subscription... does this mean that even though im buying it as a gift for somebody else that they will take another 6 months after the first is up? is there a way i can just pay and go without the DD thing?

Hi, I don't know of any offers but I can put your mind at rest with regards to the direct debit, especially if you bank online.

Wait until they take the £11.99 out of your bank and then go online or into the high street bank itself and cancel the direct debit, no further funds will be taken.

I always cancel my direct debits as soon as they have taken the initial payment, they rely on you forgetting.. so don't!
