Go to https://www.ebico.co.uk and follow the equipower link and it lists their current prices (which have not gone up yet).

I note that for existing customers no price rise till September this year but it does not say the same for new customers after 1st September last year - could this be what is going on?
    I think....

Many thanks to all who responded. I've now switched to BG Click Online for my electricity (via energyhelpline.com so that's a £12.50 cashback too) and Equigas for my gas. My guestimate is a combined saving of about £150 per year (but of course they'll probably both now put their prices up!)

I have been checking out EBICO's prices and was concerned that it was a timing issue, expecting an imminant increase but I emailed and asked, they told me about last years increases and that they had no plans to review prices in the near future.

See my comments elsewhere about *no plans*. As Ebico seems to have a relationship of some sort with SCottish and Southern I wonder if consideration of the last two %age increases might be expected come the autumn or even before that.
  • I believe Ebico will increase prices in the autumn, however they'll still be competitive!

MY thinking too; tht's why I suggested making an estimate based on SSE's incerse %ages, but even if they do increse it is a reasonable punt that one wuld have three months at current rates.
