Hi there, we are taking the first steps and opening hopefully opening a bank account today. Can anyone confirm if we have to tell them that we are entering into an IVA.

    they may ask if you are bankrupt or in and IVA, well technically you are not yet :rolleyes:

    Tell them

    A lot of the banks go through the insolvency register and will close your account

    I went with Abbey National and their basic account no problem. I also understand co-op basic is also ok

    Don't try and hide anything from anyone, this IVA is an attempt to sort your financial life out and a little lie now could be a major problem tomorrow

    GL with your IVA, I have my creditors meeting in a couple week
