16GB MP3 Player: £80

Just got me one of these.

£79.99 for a Samsung, compared to over £100 for the equivalent Sony and £140 for an iPod Nano. I dunno about any of the extra features, but I've got a music collection more than 8GB and less than 16GB, so it's perfect for me. I'm currently using my phone with a 512MB card in it, and it's a pain having to change my songs all the time.

And to go with it, I got a pair of these. Oops, gone up in price since then. I got them for £20.99 down from £50. Still a good price though.

As far as I can see, the extra features are
    • FM Radio
    • Voice recording
    • Ability to play BBCI programmes (via click and drag on your computer- not internet connection on the device)
    • 2.4" screen
    • Various sound enhancement levels
    • and will support these files: - MP3/WMA/OGG/FLAC
      - MPEG4/WMV
      - JPEG/TXT
Pretty good for the price. But still has the one thing I cannot stand~ wires!

I got me a sony wire-free MP3, am now wishing I had the 16gb version though as the 8gb has run out of space! (mass cull of all songs and start again is the way I am going, then upload/change daily). I have to say, unless I find another MP3 Without wires (I am very active and always get tangled in wires, then theres the wire-fairy who lives in my bag and tangles wires in a way that seems humanly impossible:mad:- I have heard I am not the only person with a wire-fairy)!

But fair deal for the price. As long as you like wires!

You can get a similar spec (wired) Sony for around £70 though.

Errr, unless I'm missing something it's described as:

    Sony NWZ-A729 16GB mp3/video walkman

and lists MPEG 4 in the spec.....
