There is a shortage of anti bacterial gel in London Boots, especially those in the City. Eventually managed to get 3 for 2 in Covent Garden branch, Carex.

Sorry, I gave the wrong info yesterday. The Carex gel is the one in my bathroom. I bought Cuticura Hand Hygiene Gel, which was £1.50 or something like that, 3 for 2, but before finding that I could only find Cuticura Hand Hygiene Foamer, for the ridiculous price of nearly £3, but also 3 for 2.

Cos I'd got DGD with me, we used the foamer every time we'd been touching rails, or handles, after the toilet, or even after using Boots Baskets, and it's amazing how many times you do that! I noticed several Grandmas doing the same thing.

Perhaps, if you're using public transport a lot during your working day, it would be cheaper to wear some disposable gloves and just remove them before eating, and then put a fresh pair on?

I noticed many tourists in Covent Garden wearing masks. I suppose if we did the same and also wore disposable gloves, it might change our usual Boots shopping lists?

Nothing to say except that I really loved the Boots Grabbit Thread.
I am so very sorry that it has gone from MSE but can understand why.

There are many of us who only posted on that thread too.
No where to share my bargains now which is a great shame. :(

The trouble caused by a few has effected the many.
I am so sorry Boots Grabbit is no more. MSE is not the same without it.:(

The most sad thing for me is the cameraderie (sp) that you could almost always find on the Grabbit thread. It made you feel you weren't quite as mad as non-Bootsers think we are :rotfl:.

So is there nowhere now where everyone can post a-la-Grabbit?

I have been allowed to join the other board but somehow it does not feel the same! Not sure why but much preferred the Grabbit board on here , een though it had its problems sometimes.
Went to Boots today for some mens no 7 serum for OH. Asked why there was only a womens GWP and the nice SA went and got me an old mens one from the stock room! What a change for the No 7 SA to be nice - maybe she has a target to meet!

I tried it today with 2 anti blemish gels, thought 2 would be useful for teensgae daughter but the till bleeped. SA thought it might be because it was 2 gels and it sayd free if bought with another..... product. Wasn't in the meed to see if that was the problem and buy one with something else so came away empty handed.

Detol antic bac hand foamer was in my local Home Bargains last week at 98p, well over £3 at boots so if you want some it might be worth checking out HB if you've got one near you. There were a couple of cases of swine flu at my DD's school so I thought it was well worth it for 98p.
