 Hurrahhh!
Thankfully, i'm not moving in [im FTB] until i've decorated with the help of my Dad.
This is a good job as i can't get my electric/gas reconnected until next Wednesday [elec] and Thursday [gas]!
This is quite infuriating as it's difficult to wash anything with hot water etc until then. However i will be persevering with painting etc as much as i can!
Woohoo anyway!

Well done, how come your gas and electric were disconnected? I am completing in three weeks time, I intend to take over the seller's utilities. I wonder whether I need to inform them in case they ask for them to be disconnected.0

They were disconnected as the property has previously been rented out and the utility bills had been left in arrears so had been disconnected.
I only found the out about 3 days ago, when i made enquiries about taking over the property with the utility company.
Most infuriating!!0 -
Thanks, I was a bit concerned if the sellers disconnect theirs. I have said to EA I am going to take over their utilities if they can read their meters when they leave. Going to have builder in for a week to do some works.0

I completed yesterday so know how you feel! Have spent all day unpacking boxes and my family have been over to put up curtain polls etc etc. It's starting to look a bit like home now. Just need the carpet to go down then I can move in!0
