Just gone to put wash on and found no dosing ball with the bottle of liquid wash.
Without having to go to the shops can I put in into the draw (though it shows a picture not to) or use something else?
Thank you for your help.

I always put mine in the drawer thats what we used to do before we had all these dosing balls, special pouches, gel capsules they are only marketing gimicks for the gullible.(no offence meant or intended to you)0

I spent some time working with Proctor and Gamble on these things when I was a student.
There is a purpose to them, although that may be secondary to marketing. Washing products put into the draw, particularly on old machines, had a tendency to fall into the sump and not really reach desired concentrations in the drum.
You can chuck the liquid in the draw, it will be ok, or even directly onto the clothes as long as you aren't doing anything funny like a prewash and can measure it properly.0 -
Just bung some in the drum with the clothes? It should tell you on the bottle how much liquid to use (in ml) so you could measure it out in a measuring jug, and if you're worried about the dosing ball magic thing you could use a plastic tumbler. Although to be honest it is just soap - I haven't measured it out properly since I left home and my clothes still come out clean ( if occasionally a bit soapy).
