Adapted tricycles

Options
Hi there!

since having 3 x spinal surgeries I cannot ride a normal bike any more - was talking to my GP and he thinks an adapted tricycle might be a good substitute. Apparently they are available with a type of seat, rather than saddle, and an electric motor for going up hills.

Talked to my OT team about it, and they have no clues - anyone here know of such a thing, and whether I can get partial/full funding to help?

I get high rate DLA mob & mid rate DLA care (until 2011) and permanent SDA.

Is this the sort of thing you are looking for it is £1200 though

Is that you need support for your back rather than a seat? As found this little nifty piece of kit and this one.
