Paid for a course and now the company seems to be closed!

I wondered if someone could give me some advice about £200 I paid for motorcycle course from a company that now seems to have closed. I paid for the course for myself and my boyfriend (as a birthday present) but when we turned up on the day, we were informed that the instructor hadn't arrived and the course would need to be cancelled. I was advised to ring and rearrange or ask for a refund. However, when I called the following week the line was dead and when I went to try and look, the office was locked up. The member of staff who met us on the day of the course was very apologetic at the time and gave me her personal mobile number. I called this and she did answer and told me that they were having problems with their telephone but she would arrange a refund. However, two weeks later I'm still waiting! I've tried calling her again but she doesn't answer now and the office line is still dead. Is there anyway I can retrieve my money? I paid on my debit card and my bank have said there is nothing I can do. Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
