  • Aaaaaaaaaaaargh, I'm struggling tonight. Existential life crisis (keeping on the French theme you see) ;).

Met someone I used to know, but hadn't seen in years. She's married and pregnant and I'm, well, doing the same old same old.

Finding it all quite depressing - live alone, no partner, no chance of kids as far as I can see, time running out. Any fertility that's likely to last over 40 probably been killed by all the booze I've drunk.

    Hmmmm....self-pitying huh?

Could really go a litre of red. But won't - determined not to go out.

    Thanks for listening.
    xx

Oh and just so you know, if I can't get to occupy my time I'll end up creating numerous pages of drivel on here, sorry about that but it keeps me sober, just skip it :p

    Hugs to you GG (((())))

You know what though, the grass always looks greener.

My best mate that I've known since we were 11 is same age as me 37, she did get married but now divorced, she has MILLIONS of friends and is out most nights in the week to all manner of exciting places, I can't tell you what her job is incase she recognises herself on here then would know I'm posting on this thread, but she has a job in the limelight, constantly brushing shoulders with the stars, earns shed loads of money, owns outright the most amazing house. I told her one day that I was so jealous of her lifestyle and things that she can do and does. She told me that she was jealous of me, school office person, never leaves the house, normal life. Just shows you really that we are all envious of other people's lives and maybe, just maybe you're old friend is not as happy as they have made out

  • Evening all......are we having a french theme tonight? I have a french maids costume somewhere from a fancy dress party some years ago....oooops sorry ;);) its not that kind of thread!!:D:D:o:o

I always hated french at school so I never learnt properly...still managed a `B` at O level.....& to this day have absolutely no idea how I managed that:confused::confused:still can`t understand a word of it .....for years I thought `merci` meant `goodbye`....!!

Right...home today after good mindless wander around Nottingham....would normally stop & have a glass with a nice lunch but had sparkling water instead...felt so good to be `in control` !! I thought that if I had a drink then I would have wasted all the effort that I have put in since Saturday & I am not prepared to give in.

So its 3/30 for me YM....off to get kettle on now . Got loads of ebay listing to do tonight.

    Good luck everyone...be strong !!
