That's a very good point - pocket money is specifically excluded from being an allowable expenses on an SOA, yet suspect a lot of people use child benefit for that.0 -

You have hit the nail on the head, if they do this, other items will HAVE to be allowed.
I don’t think they realise the can of worms they are opening.
I get the feeling they may regret it;)They claim their labours are to build a heaven, yet their heaven is populated with horrors. Perhaps the world is not made, perhaps nothing is made?
Its too late, always has been, always will be.

It's meant to be for the children so they shouldn't be able to take any!
That is my personal opinion anyway.Look down your nose at me and I thumb my nose back at you.

If they allow a holiday fund, and funding for birthdays, Christmas, and other activities, that argument does not hold as much weight as we would like, but the fact is many don’t.
They cannot have it both ways, the question is will anyone stand up and say so?
If they don’t, the IS will get away with it, as it most likely will only benefit the IS anyway on borderline IPA cases. They claim their labours are to build a heaven, yet their heaven is populated with horrors. Perhaps the world is not made, perhaps nothing is made?

I gave my eldest all of her CB, although we fund her bus fairs and expenses for college she is not intitled to recieve the £30 a week payment all her friends receive (we earn too much.. so they say) I had to encourage her to go to college somehow0

When I did a city and guilds I got £29.50 a week (in 1993) and gave half of it to my mum, I had practically nothing!
