Hi, I have had confirmation of IPA for me and my other half OR has granted £85 ipa for me and £65 for other half however my figures to OR were £39 surplus for me and £62 for my other half OR cann't give me a breakdown wondered if £132 of child benefit would have been included how can I get an idea of the breakdown to see what they have not allowed or cut back on my SOA

Hi Queen, I am sure that the OR must provide a breakdown if you request one so I would request this again. Also, you have to agree to the IPA otherwise they would have to justify the figures in court and get a Judge to agree to it. Definitely worth challenging again for the breakdown and don't sign it until you get a breakdown of the figures. Am sure one of the experts will be about shortly to confirm if this is correct but that is the way I understood it, that they are obliged to provide the breakdown of figures if you ask them for it.
Best wishes

This is true donna, they have to supply a breakdown as you can not dissagree with any figures without seeing them first. I think you have 14 days to sign or appeal.0

Hi, I think I have worked mine out they have included child benefit of £132 but cann't work out mu OH the OR said that they used all figures I put on form which would mean my OH surplus would be £62.00 but they have out an IPA on of £65 questioned this I thought it was surplus over £99 and was advised that an IPA can be placed in force if there is a surplus of £50 or more will wait for paperwork and see what it states0

Wait for the paperwork, although I would email now anyway and ask them to included the breakdown of how they came to the amounts mentioned, as I don't think they include them as standard (they just want a signature).
As I have not read all threads/posts etc, but I thought that you did not work anyway, only your OH who was not well??????0 -
Suspect it will be the child benefit - there seems to be a new ruling that child benefit can be counted as income for an IPA.0

Or an examiner that has dreamt there is a new ruling, we have seen examiners try it on before JCS1, we shall have to wait and see if there is any substance to the claim.
(its times like this I wish you where still one, we may get the answer quicker;))They claim their labours are to build a heaven, yet their heaven is populated with horrors. Perhaps the world is not made, perhaps nothing is made?

I have put in an email to someone who still works there, see if they respond.
Would still be doing the job if a bit closer to home!0 -
Bit harsh isn't it if it is true!
Look down your nose at me and I thumb my nose back at you.

Dear examiner
As you will appreciate, signing documents without knowing the implications is what got me into this mess in the first place.
With that in mind I hope you understand, and are pleased I have learnt from my mistakes, and therefore regret I cannot agree to any Income payment agreemant until I have all the relevant figures before me to make an informed decision.
I therefore will expect a full breakdown on how you have come to the figure you have quoted by return, should you wish to continue to refuse I invite you to explain to the court why exactly you are refusing to do so, as I see it as a perfectly reasonable request.
Yours sincerely
