Will they close my account?

Ok setting the scene...maxed out £1500 overdraft on my student account, went over by £14 following a direct debit payment. After a series of spiraling fines I've been charged £147 + interest. I have the bank statements detailing the fines and a completed letter all ready to go. Befor I send the letter to my Lloyds Tsb branch. I wanted to a check a few things before I potentially get myself in a big mess:
1. Can Lloyds threaten the closure of my account? - if they do so surely I will have to pay back my planned overdraft? - NOT A POSSIBLITY!
2. As my claim is relatively small, will the costs of court action outway the benefits of getting the money back?!
I would be really greatful to hear from anyone who has experienced and has perhaps been successful with making a similar claim. As i don't want to send this letter before i know fully what i'm getting myself in for!
many thanks from a rather improverished and worried student :-(

Dont believe they can close your account the brurb below is taken from the FSA legal Stuff.
if you claim you get the court costs back so thats irelevant really.
"" The firm must not close accounts or threaten closure of accounts of customers when it might reasonably appear that this is for the purpose (or with the intent) of penalising customers that have complained about unauthorised overdraft charges for having complained, or deterring future complaints from these customers or others.
