  • i've been down this route a couple of times, but always end up coming back empty handed coz the cars they have are so badly written off that the interiors are normally either damaged or smell very badly of smoke and oil. What i'm looking for is like a Toyota parts warehouse? I know they exist for things like Land Rovers, mazda and ford, but can't seem to find one for toyota????

At £1k you'd get the existing seats re-upholstered professionally in some really nice leather for much less.

What on earth have you been doing in your Yaris to need new seats and carpets??? I was once asked if I actually STABLED my horse in my car because it was so full of bits of hay, straw and mud, but it all came clean with a good hoover.

If I wasn't going to keep mine a couple more years (51 plate), you could have had mine!

lol similar thing to be honest, my parents use me as a resident, dog chauffeur, removal driver, tip runner, so my car is constantly full of dog hair, mud, and more recently washing machines, wardrobes, shelving units, mattresses, chairs, and whilst the new stuff isn't so bad, it's things like fence panels and my brothers old fitted wardrobes which my dad ripped out with a sledge hammer  the doors off these made some truly spectacular rips in my seats. I've beein doing these jobs for so long that i carry old carpet in my boot to protect most of the back seats when their collapsed but now the items are getting bigger i've routinely got stuff running from the passenger footwell through the car and out the back, which how the seats have become so damaged so quickly.

My parents recently gutted the garden and i took so many bags of garden waste to the tip to be recycled that i have now ended up with what i can only assume is mould growing on the carpet (not the foot mats, the actual fitted carpet one piece underneath), me and my dad have both tackled it and now believe it to be dead, but it looks AWFUL! lol

hence the reason for wanting new seats and carpets, if i can find them lol

And replace the seats they damaged ;) :rotfl: A Yaris isn't really that much of a load lugger.

Excuse me!!! My Yaris carries all sorts too. I can fit in 3 bales of horse bedding, or hay, 60kg of feed no problem, it also trundles anything and everything to the dump quite happily including those huge sand/gravel sacks full of garden waste. I have also come home with a display cabinet and a bookcase in the back, plus taken a fridge freezer to the tip. Not a load lugger my a**e!! I am lucky I suppose that the loads haven't done any damage to the interior, although I do try to protect the seats, but at the end of the day, my car is a tool not an item of beauty, and I spend the money making sure what goes on under the bonnet is in tip-top order. I only get rid when they are not economically viable and they go off to the scrapyard. It gets washed twice a year - once when my mum visits, and once when I visit her!

The trouble is, as the OP is finding, they don't turn up in scrapyards very often as they are so reliable, unless they get crashed, they are all still going strong. Mine will go through the 129000 mile barrier tomorrow morning - and that is on the original clutch.
