Travel Money query

Hi there, I'm travelling to morocco in a couple of weeks. Morocco has its own currency and I can only exchange money when I get there. The problem is that I don't want to be carrying loads of money with me and don't want to use my Halifax debit card. Can someone PLEASE give me some advice on this matter. The good thing is that I do have a Abbey Zero credit card.

When I went to Marrakesh I just took money out of a cash machine. Best bet is to use a Nationwide Debit Card where the fee is a minimal 0.84%.

You could use the Abbey Zero for paying in restaurants or buying gifts but do not draw cash on this card otherwise you will accrue interest immediately.

Thanks for the NickX but Nationawide want me to conduct all my financial affairs with them and I am unable to do that. The debit cards I do have are Lloyds TSB and Halifax, which has been reported one of the worst ones to use abroad. I'm SO confused about what to do

This is very bizarre. I set up a Nationwide Flexaccount specifically for the purpose of using the Debit Card abroad and avoiding the higher fees with other providers. They have no right to say that you must conduct all your financial affairs with them, I have relationships with many financial institutions for different reasons and just don't tell Nationwide who else I deal with. You need to control the situation and tell them what you want, not comply with what they want.
