BT Billing

Hello - Not sure if I'm in the right spot or not, but would like a little advice please!
My Mum pays her BT bill at the post office, as she doesn't have a bank account for direct debit payments, and because of this she is charged an extra £4.50 for processing the payment, as well as and extra £1.50 for having the bill sent to her, as she doesn't have access to the internet! That's an extra £6.00 on top of her bill - which is an extra £18.00 a year she has to pay. I know that this may not sound alot, but in this "current economic climate" every little helps!
I think that this is totally discrimante towards people that don't have access to these facilties and I'm not sure if there is anything I can do to help her... She is classed as a career and is on benefits and feel that these "extra charges" are taking the (well you know what!).
I would appreciate any suggestions/help on the matter. Thanks.

Their is nowt you can do unless she changes supllier, it has been discussed here many times . BT have been taken to court about it on a number of occassions and won every case. Most of the major suppliers eg Virgin Media in fact charge more then BT if you dont pay DD.
Have a look at Post Office Homephone £11.75p a month No extra charge for paper bill, and no extra charge for not paying by d/d. Obviously you can pay at Post Office. Lots of inclusive minutes.Best of all no minimum term.

Its provided and maintained by BT so she shouldnt see any difference in the service.0
