Thanks guys. It states that for 2 adults and 2 children they allow £501 for food and housekeeping, so how much extra is allowed for 2 adults and 3 children?

Thanks Fatou, I'm in a bit of a pickle actually, it's my OH thats going BR, and I've put down £300 from my earnings (CTC and CHB) which are £546 per month, as my contribution to the household bills, but now someone has told me that I should include all the CTC as its a joint claim!

yes but only put what you feel confortable with and don't forget you have also your own expenses to pay out of your 546/month ! this is what the advise was given to me on this board , however you could also add all of your child expenses to account for your CTC.

Thank you Fatou, my stomach turned when told i'd have to include all the ctc which is £346 per month but seeing as though I'm already putting £300 down as my contribution there shouldn't be a problem, I hope! Will I need to put on the BR forms that my OH is in receipt of ctc?

i think so but i understand that it is a bit tight re CTC . however what many people fail to realise is that the allowances in BR are far more generous than on a DMP or an IVA.

thats very true Fatou thank you again, I'll be contacting the BR dept of cccs later (when I can get through) so I can go through each page with them. Incidently, the first page of the forms plus the extra sheet (form 6.27) is also a bit confusing!

Another question on this thread, excuse me if I am being thick but, when you have appointment with OR either by phone or face to face, do they help you to tweek things or do they just reduce what they think is inappropriate? Also I haven't had dental insurance before because i just pay as i go (not NHS) but under the circs think i should get it, do you think the OR will think this is taking the mickey?
