To add to the confusion, he is now chatting to me as though nothing is wrong BUT there is still no flirting. Feel like screaming 'I fancy the pants off you, you idiot, flirt with me a little bit at least!!!'.
I had one of those conversations last night, very annoying, I feel your anger.I sometimes have the same problem...first thing I do is find out where they've put their glasses down. That solves it many times for me. After that, assuming you're unwilling, is to find out if they are actually worth having around...
You can find decent people, but if you have trouble finding them, then you're looking in the wrong places, and you need to change your attitude as to where they are to be found.

Keep a diary. Then put in a request for a re-appraisal. They'll be really pissed off when they find out you have dates and times. They'll be even more pissed off when you get them to put in writing what you shouldn't be doing on your grade and you wave it in front of their faces. Honorariums often follow - especially if you have them over a barrel.
See, they are not forthcoming with what I should be doing on this band or the next.......I mentioned one duty that I believe is on the next pay scale but that was dismissed as "oh I know we all end up doing extra stuff"
Nobody is willing to give me a clear outine of the different responsibilities on the different bandings, probably because half of the staff there will realise that they are due a payrise if they do:rolleyes:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Sorry BB I was meaning full time lecturer salary banding,
ahh, right. We don't have any full time lecturers. It's all sessional pay (we're adult learning rather than a FE college). We have 1 person doing the same job as you and she does get a salary, I think it's around 23k but I know she teaches at £22 per hour.
Lecturers at our FE college are on around £20k-£28k I think........hang on i'll see if there are any vacancies......
