Tax credit renewal- not had the award notice yet

I rang the tax credit line and renewed over the phone at the end of June. In past years I have had the award notice come through within a week. This year I have had nothing as yet and the amount I receive in my bank each week is the same even though my circumstances are different this year. Maybe there is a backlog, anybody else have the same happen to them?. I think I will call them in the morning.

UPDATE: called this morning and they said that it now takes up to 20 working days to process claims and send out award notices. In the past it was much quicker.0

Hi there, I also rang them to renew my info and 2 wks later received a letter asking me to inform them of any changes by 28th July!! I rang them again and they said they didn't have any changes on their records so I gave them the info again! I received a new tax credit amount 2 wks later.0

Two weeks later and I still have no award notice. I have called them again and they said that they have updated my claim and have sent the notice. I have received nothing. I asked them to resend it last week but still nothing. Anyone else waited for 4/5 weeks for their award notice. Is it the postal strike that is causing problems?0

They seem to be miles behind with the paperwork.
I contacted them a few weeks back because we had not had the renewal pack. Their system said it had been sent out about two weeks previous, so they sent out a replacement. About a week later I received my renewal pack - then a week later I received a second one.
We put in our renewal about three weeks ago. Last week we got the NHS exemption cards, but have still not had the decision notice. I guess it will appear sometime, but clearly it must have gone through for the NHS cards to be sent.
Ah...just checking this is an issue from last year - but for anyone with a 2010 claim I will leave it to run.
