Why do i keep getting logged out ?

Hi , can anyone advise as to why i keep getting logged out it is really frustrating especially after i,ve finished writing a reply or thread and when i go to post ,i,m told i need to register again as i,m logged out yet i haven,t logged myself out?

this happens if you are in the reply section to long, you time out and need to re sign in. just security i think.HTH

When you log in you need to tick the "remember me" box just to the side of where you log in, then it will remember you are there until you log out.

If you choose not to use the "remenber me" option which is best.
You can click your back button x2 to post your reply if it makes you sign in again and your post will still be there so you dont have to re- write it.

MSE Forums seems to log you out after a stupidly short amount of time if you don't click the 'remember me' box. I'm not sure exactly what the time is but I often found that I can read a page of a thread and by the time I've finished and clicked the next page I've been logged out and my 'posts per page' setting no longer applies causing me to jump to another part of the thread!

I think you should at least get a couple of hours if you don't click the box.
