Just in relation to the business, in your opinion, hows it looking? Is it breaking even? ?
Also is there any chance OH could get an evening job, or other work around his business, at least this will bring in extra solid cash? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
He refuses to get a second job, although i said i would (i am already out for 13 hours a day) he works from home and has the evenings and most weekends off.
with regard to the business, it is ok, he is kind of up in the air at the moment as he is going into a partnership with an investor, hopefully soon, who is very keen and will fund the business, therefore allowing my OH to make more money. He is stuck between a rock and a hard place cos he cant buy materials to do jobs at the moment, so cant take on too much work.0 -
God I feel sick and could literally sit here and cry. I just cant see any viable way out of this mess.0

Hey Loopylou
I've been following the thread since this morning, dont panic just yet, your just overwhelmed by all the information. It's ok to cry it's probably just relief at getting help now. It's not going to change overnight but it will, slowly but surely you'll see a difference. I hope you dont get offended but why are you worrying about OH's business debts when he wont even go get a 2nd job especially now when he's not much else on?
Hugs to you!!!!

Whats he saying about it all? Does he think things are going ok? It seems your shouldering a lot of HIS debt problems here?

He doesnt seem to realise there is much of an issue and lives in hope that things are going to change soon I am the one who has the sleepless nights and who wants to get this problem sorted sooner rather than later as it is just getting worse and worse.
he didnt want me to get a second job, although i was quite prepared to.0 -
hugs to you, we all know here, you cant force someone to have thier lightbulb moment. Personally speaking, and this isnt that inclusive, just look after yourself. Pay your bills of and rejoice with every payment you make, there is spare in the shared account, one month give it to you, the other to the OH. Every month you will be seeing your debt reduce and your life slowly beint returned to you. this might be the spark needed for his LB moment. If you want to get a second job, then do it for you to chuck at YOUR debts, or buy the little treats YOU need for yourself.
All the best love
Lynz

thank you so much, i did mention getting another job to pay off one of his cards, but you are right i need to look after me first and get myself straight before i can think of anything else. x thanks a million
My OH has cntacted payplan and is waiting for them to call back. although his heart isnt in it i dont think. he is doing it to shut me up!0 -
I totally agree with Linz. If his heart isn't in it, then he hasn't had his lightbulb moment and so things won't get better.
However, you HAVE had your lightbulb moment. Concentrate on clearing your debts. If you're happy taking on a second job, do it.
I know your husband is worrying you senseless at the moment, but once you've cleared yours, maybe he'll have a little flicker in his mind, the lightbulb will ping on and he'll WANT to clear his.
