Dell Inspiron 1300 and its Expresscard slot (NOT PCMCIA)

I've been searching around various online shops and ebay for something that fits into that Expresscard slot - the one that looks like a pcmcia slot.

Has anybody ever bought any?
Apparently the slots are now standard issue in Dell and HP notebooks.

I have a PCMCIA card for my notebook which is completely useless as far as I can see.

Has anyone seen these for sale anywhere.
Preferably an Expresscard to PCMCIA converter.

Does anybody else use this slot?

Cheers for that but, I'm trying to plug a PCMCIA card into the laptop with this expresscard nonsense.

It's actually for Vodaphone's Mobile Connect 3G/GPRS, which only does the interface in PCMCIA format.

I've been looking for usb to pcmcia converters - not that easily found.

Recommendations welcome.

Did you get anywhere with this ?

I now have two new laptops, both with expresscard slots and I can't find anything to plug in to give me 3g/gprs access.

Dell in the states have just lauched one but looks like it's locked to a service provider......help
