the http://www.orlando-rental-home.com/ seems too quite for us :-(
Why not think of a split stay over a couple of hotels, do you want to be in orlando for your whole trip? could always fly into Miami and have a small road trip thru Fort Lauderdale, Naples, St Peterbrough then across to Orlando :D

hi all, I am going to Orlando on 2 Feb for 2 nights, 1st thing, Aplpha Rooms have great deals on the Orange Lakes Resort, I paid £56 a night, and it has good reviews on Trip advisor and it appears there is alot on site.

Now for a question, we are going with our 18month Old Daughter, would we need to purchase a ticket to Disneyworld for her or is it free for Children under three, the second question I have has anyone been to disney world with a child under 2, is there much for them to do in tha park and is it worth taking them, as my wife is 4 months Pregnant she wouldn't be able to go on any of the rides.

My task begins of planning for Easter 2013, im travelling with a family of 5 we have 3 children ages 3-8years. My thoughts have been to do our own flights, hire a private villa and for the 3rd week do a condo on the gulf coast.

Ive no clue whats a good price or not, ive done a quick tally of figures and this is going to be around the 6K mark. Do you think thats a good price or should i be doing a package/ or booking nearer the time for a cheaper prices?

Also my big thing that i need help on is tickets, what should i be looking to buy/where from and what parks would be best for children who are on the younger side?

Any help would be greatly recieved xx

    hi,

I am looking to book florida for late sept/oct for 2 adults and 1 child (13) however my son has autism so we dont want to be cooked up in one bedroom, we dont want to hire a car so we have been advised by travel agents that Internation drive would be more suitable not having ever been there before I dont know, I have asked the travel agent for an apartment style accomodation with separate bedroom/kitchen mainly because my son doesnt really sleep well at night so sometimes one of us needs to sit up with him, the travel agents have offered westgate palace, but reviews are not that great and wifi is extra, cleaning extra which increases the budget when you get there.

    Any ideas on decent accomodation

    thanks

May see you there.:p We are also going in october and have an autistic child. He is younger than yours. For me, i would not do anything other than hiring a villa as we find Disney is so non stop and busy that a very quiet , silent villa with a pool or spa for us to veg in while our son plays with lego or plays on a game console that many villas provide is exactly what my kids need to reset for the next day. We paid about £490 a week and it is 15 mins to Disney. Wonder how much Taxis cost that far in USA? Or any bus routes. We booked with https://www.homeaway.co.uk .
Hope you have fun. Dunno about you, but i am more anxious about the flight!:o
  • Right, I have some idea of hotels, parks to visit, time to visit (thanks to you guys). Now I could do with some info on cost for dining out not only @ Disney/Universal but around LBV :D

I've heard the kids meals are fairly big and to only order 1 between 2 children, would you agree??

If you are looking for car hire this company might interest some of you. They are dropping our car off at our hotel but they also do a meet and greet at the airport so no queues at check in desk, they take you to your accomodation and the car is waiting - then on the way back return you to the airport as well. Worth keeping an eye on.

My daughter's were under 2 when we took them. All the rides have single rider queues so you will still get to go onto the big rides and often the queue is a lot smaller. There are rides that the under 2 will be able to go one - Winnie the Pooh, Its a Small World, Dumbo - you'll have so much fun. My eldest was 19 months when we took her and my youngest celebrated her 2nd birthday there.

Mandles, do you remember me from the other thread?? Ryan is the exact opposite and is crawling the walls to get out more. He loves the Rollercoasters.

Have a look at Mears Transportation website, you can put details in and get a rough quote. There are not usually any buses that service the villa communities.
