I didn't get the message! I found out while at OKW that we had a crossed line with a room at the Yacht and Beach, so our calls kept going there. You would not believe the number of calls we tried to make to various places and just ended up talking to random people at the Y&B. So, it worked, FC said HB to DD? Yipee!! Everyone will wonder what on earth we are talking about;).

Yes, I was telling her, make sure he can see your badge but she was shattered and was sulking and I had to keep on uncovering it. LOL. Everyone was confused. Shame about the message and the phone. I did think of you on the Friday at 10am though.

ETA: OKW is being totally refurbished at the moment, so rooms should be better in future if you want to stay there again. We always ask for an upstairs room as you don't get the noise transfer. Having said that, not as easy with children and pushchairs to lug up and down without lifts.

LOL, see my last post, I should have been shopping last night but was checking out the RCI website as they had a unit available..... :o

    Hi,

Thanks for that but it's coming out at $111.00 for me! not sure why.

Shuttle is $58.00 which is good though.

That is the round fare if you get one on the way home too. I've copied it over - look at the box on the right.

Don't pay that for a shuttle, you have to share, you can get your own taxi for a few extra $$ and you'll get a mini bus sized one as your luggage will have to go in.

Round Trip $111.00 One Way Pricing: Exclam.gif $63.00 Exclam.gif Includes Meet & Greet baggage claim services.
You and your party will be met in the baggage claim area
upon your arrival at the airport.

Sounds like you had a fab time!! I am still in the process...or should I say begining to plan our trip.
I dont have a clue so starting to look at the parks that I want to go to and from there I will figure out where to stay, whether it be a villa or resort...so much to do!!!

Never really fancied Orlando but what I have read so far it sounds amazing!

Love the pic btw...did that really happen in the space of 10mins???

Yes, we got off the Rafiki train and there was a small amount of rain so I ran to get the buggy from the top stroller park (about 150 yards away) and by the time I got to the top it was raining really hard. I waited and waited under the umbrella with the CM but had to get back to the station so I ran but by the time I got back to the station there was a huge puddle in the buggy and I was totally drenched. The people running through this were from the next train (which runs every 7 minutes) and they thought it was a small amount of water across the path, they were in it before we could all shout 'no, it's deep'.

Thing is, the station is at the bottom of a slope so we got everything from the top too.

We gave up after 15 minutes as even if it stopped raining the flood would have still been there. Hubby took his trainers off off, kids had their crocs, I had my Birkenstocks on - got the emergency ponchos out and we just went back to the bus back to AKL. We got on the bus and all of the seats had puddles on them where it had come through the lights and ran onto the seats and the buses were still drying the week we left, they all smelt damp. It was amazing just how much it rained but everyone said that it was needed as there had been no rain for 3 weeks.

Get yourselves some emergency ponchoes - they cost about 50p from Target or Wal-Mart and they are just there in the bottom of the bag in case you need them.

Do you know how to book a Taxi using Mears online? seems a bit complicated to me :o

How do you put the Pickup Time in when it would be a guess really?

Fare estimate is saying $35 (one way) when i enter my Hotel address which is ok.

It must be said i normally just get an all in package and don't have to bother with Transfers!

I'm glad you've put me out of my misery!

Christmas does come early at Disney :D

BM, St Cloud is an easy drive from the Disney area - not sure it has a plethora of places to actually stay in though?

Just got back yesterday from our 2 week stay at POFQ.

I have to say that after waiting since Aug 09 our holiday was very disappointing as we arrived on the Wed and by Sat/Sun I started coming out in spots, which at first I thought was just an allergy but as the days went on I was full of chickenpox. Fortuntaley, I didn't get them on my face or in my hair but the rest of my body was covered in them.

We couldn't do very much for the first week and more and when I was able to go out I had to wear long trousers and my hubby's long sleeved shirts to cover up as much as I could. I was so hot as the first couple of days after we arrived the weather was a bit overcast and cooler (pleasant) but by the Sunday it had improved and was quite warm.

The worst came when the Virgin rep tole me I would need to get a 'fit to fly note' before I could fly home. On their website it just stated the International standard was 5 days after the last spots appeared but wasn't worth the risk so off we went to the local Centra Care centre and despite the fact that it had been over 5 days since my latest spots appearance they charged me $297 and told me to come back on Wed (the day I was due to fly home) and they would reassess me.

I think they were just trying to get as much money out of us as they could as when the second doc saw me (different one) he didn't seem to be too interested in my spots (obviously could see them on my arms and hands) and his first comment to me was that there would be no charge for this visit (we had been told it would cost another $200 but if we mentioned a discount this may be dropped to $197). He was really nice and obviously very genuine. Spent more time discussing my general health as my BP had been raised on both visits, then said he would sort out the paperwork and wished me a good journey home.

When I went to reception to sign out she looked very confused and said she needed to speak to someone. I realised it was $0 charge and told her that this was being waivered but she insisted on speaking to the doc. He came out and assertively told her there was to be no further charge. She apologised and thanked him and her whole tone towards me mellowed as she had been very formal up to this point.

So to cut the story short we got back to our hotel in time to complete our OLCI with just enough time to have lunch and catch our Magical Express transfer and despite being told by Virgin that we would need to show the note it wasn't even raised.

Sadly this has had a very negative effect on our last memories of Disney but I have tried to console my oh by saying it could have been a lot worse if we had been on a cruise which is what I had been debating with, we probably would have been confined to our cabin for the whole duration.

The staff in the hotel were great and we much preferred this complex to both POR and AKL where we stayed in 2008.

Maybe in a few weeks I will get some pics out and things may not seem so bad!
