Student Account & JSA

Hi guys, not sure if this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move.
My question is - if you are on JSA, does this mean that a bank will look less favourably on you if you are applying for a student account and interest-free overdraft? (would obviously be coming off JSA when starting the course)
Does this also apply if you are applying to your existing bank, and have savings / no existing overdraft / an excellent credit record with them?
Thanks for your advice / thoughts!
