Tribunal - Should I accept the first offer?

    I won. I didn't go for unfair dismissal in the end and could have accepted the offer made 5 minutes before, but I stuck it out and went through with the Tribunal.

    At least it meant another hour (at £150+) of costs for him to pay and I was awarded the sum I'd originally gone for.

    Thanks for everyones help and advice, much appreciated.

    I decided to leave it, I was so stressed beforehand that I didn't think I could cope with postponing it. He is such a bully and had hired quite an unpleasant lawyer.

    Afterwards, I did wonder if I should have carried on, but I think it would have made me really ill and my health is more important.

    You have to do what is best for you, the Judges hate unpleasant lawyers and if you are unrepresented then they do all they can to make you feel at ease and help and guide you along the process, it can actually go against the employer to be represented. It is nervewracking though, I hope they pay up.
