Credit Card for travelling students

I'm a student going to thailand next month and was planning on using a credit card for my spending. I looked at the tips on this website but the best cards mentioned request you supply your employment information.
As a student I am not employed so have no info to enter, is there another appropriate credit card for me?

Barclay Card do cards for students. I’m surprised you have had one forced upon you already.

Also, Do you have a student bank account? You should be able to get a student credit card to go with it

I already have a student credit card but im interested in getting one thats good for traveling with as my credit card is on the "cards from hell" list on this website.

how are you planning to make the monthly repayments while you're travelling?

im only going for three weeks so would pay it when i get back.
the reason i wanted to use a credit card is that I have a part-time summer job but i get paid a month in arrears so my pay comes in whilst im away meaning i cant get currency before i go.
